As someone who generally sleeps in. I can imagine waking up to the Weather channel and not knowing anything would be off. Sure Disney being closed and Air travel shutdown would probably force me to look it up somewhere. But otherwise just an ordinary Tuesday morning.

News was almost always the bad stuff, and I wasn't a big sports fan, but I often tried to catch the weather report, especially to catch the Gusty drawing that Don Woods would do. But I'll be darned if I remember the weather in February 1979! However, I certainly recognized all the faces reporting here. Oh gosh, Norma Eagleton and a younger Jim Inhofe before he went to Washington! And it's the City Commissioners, before Tulsa switched to the Council form of government. And while I personally never shopped at Color Tile (I was 13 when this aired), I saw the commercials! On the other hand, I occasionally went to the local Otasco store, but I don't remember seeing their commercials on TV. Sheesh, these slow-paced, low pressure commercials are cringy, almost painful to watch. 231 Wal-Mart Stores at that time! ;-)
